The Fall Garden

I love gardening. I love getting my hands dirty and watching things grow. My kids love gardening too. The girls especially love to play in the dirt and plant seeds. My son's favorite part is harvesting.

We don't have a very large garden but it keeps growing bigger and bigger each season. This time of year is very busy. We have a lot of things growing in the garden. Let me take you on a short tour of all that we are growing this fall.
Lets start at our beloved mango tree. We planted this mango tree 2 1/2 years ago in honor of the birth of our daughter Baby Girl. The tree is already taller than I am.

Behind the mango tree is our pigeon pea bushes

Here is a close up of some peas.

Here are some cucumber seedlings growing in a stack of old car tires

Next up is the newest 4x4 bed filled with cold loving seedlings like sweet peas, carrots, lettuce, parsley and green onions

In this Rubbermaid self watering container we have a few butternut squash plants

and they have started to fruit

Next in another self watering container we have to white wonder tomato plants

And last but not least we have a 4x4 raised bed with cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, beets and Basil

I love gardening. I love taking pictures of my veggies and sharing it. I also love looking at pictures of other people's garden. What are you growing in your yard?

Ahhhh! What a great garden! It's too cold to plant my pigeon peas now, I can't wait till spring! I planted butternut squash this summer for the first time, they are great! I have an easy bread recipe that uses squash that is very tasty. I'll post it soon.

Hubby will enjoy seeing your garden, especially the mango tree!
