TOP 10 REASONS WHY WE HOMESCHOOL

A lot of people have asked me about home schooling and why it is that we decided on this form of education for our children.
Well, there are a lot of reasons for why we decided to school our kids at home. Some are very reasonable while others are really unique. I’ve put together a short list of the top ten reasons why we homeschool our kids. These are not necessary the reasons why everyone does it. But they are why we do it.

**We believe that the education of our children is a God given mission. We really do feel that this is God ordained. It is our mission as Christians to raise up little Christians and we feel that educating them at home gives us a better chance of fulfilling that mission and therefore preparing them to do God’s “work”.

**We really like how tight our little family is. We like the fact that the kids think the world of each other and stand up for each other when they are around other kids.

**We are not morning people. The very thought of getting up while it is still dark outside and getting 3 kids ready for school makes me want to crawl into my bed right now.

**Home schooling allows us the ability to provide a true 1 on 1 education (and everyone knows that 1 on 1 is the ideal learning situation)

**Our kids are able to pursue their own interest. My job is not to tell them what to learn but to follow their interest and guide them.

**We have great kids and we really do enjoy spending time with them. We would hate to not have them around for 6-8 hours a day.

**We like being the ones to decide what, when, and how they are taught.

**I can’t think of anything else that would be worth doing with my life other than investing all of myself into my kids and our family.

**We love the freedom of being able to go where we want, when we want and not have to adhere to any school’s schedule .

**We honestly think that our kids are worth it.

There are a lot of other reasons for why it is that we do what it is that we do, but, these are the top ten for now.
And in case you were wondering,
Yes we do plan to homeschool all the way through High School if it is the Lord’s will for us to do so.
