Butterflies

BUTTERFLY UNIT STUDY
This past October we did a study about Butterflies and you've guested we also turned that study into a lapbook. (we really love to do lapbooks). Some of the topics covered under this study were:

-The life cycle of butterflies
-Is a butterfly an insect ?
-Butterfly body parts (anatomy)
-Butterfly habitats
-The difference between a Moth and a Butterfly
-Predators of butterflies
-How God helps butterflies protect themselves


And we also learned that Florida's state insect is a zebra butterfly.
We looked at preserved butterflies up close using a magnifying glass as well as a whole bunch of other fun things. We had a lot of fun and worked very hard.
