Healthy Teeth Lapbook

Hurray, we are done with our Healthy Teeth lapbook.

We laughed, we played but most importantly we learned.

Our bible verse for this unit was 1Corinthians 10:31 "Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

Under the topic of dental health we covered...

  • Why God gives us teeth

  • Parts of the tooth (teeth anatomy)

  • Types of teeth and their jobs

  • Numbers of each tooth in our mouths

  • The job of the dentist

  • 4 steps to healthy teeth

  • What role nutrition plays in dental health

  • and much, much,more

We counted each others teeth, we went toothbrush shopping, we experimented with what causes cavities, we learned about the different ingredients that make up toothpaste, we visited the dentist and got a clean and healthy teeth report. We learned the proper way to brush and floss, and how to know when we need a new toothbrush.

We really did have a lot of fun. Here is a list of some of the resources that we used for this study.
