All About Me

Last year in August we made our first lapbook. We called it All About Me. We created our lapbook as part of a unit study that we were doing about the human body.

Under this study we are learned...

  • that God made each of us special.

  • our 5 senses

  • our body parts (eyes, nose, etc.)

  • and our organs. (heart, lung, etc.)

we also covered "personal info" such as address, phone number, age, how tall we are and how much we weigh.

We did a lot of readying and some hands on things too. Every one's favorite was when Daddy played the patient and the kids became the little doctors that checked his heart, listened to his lungs and basically checked him out. We had a lot of fun doing that study and we wanted to share some pictures with you so here it goes.

here are some of the resources used for our All About Me study,

POEMS AND SONGS
Song
I am special (song to the tune of frere Jacque)
I am special, I am special (point to self)
Can you see, can you see (look through binocular hands)
Someone very special, someone very special
Cause God made me, God made me (point to self)

Two Little Eyes
Two little eyes to look to God
Two little ears to hear his words
Two little feet to walk his ways
Hands to serve Him all my days
One little tongue to speak the truth
One little heart for Him in youth
Take them all Jesus let them be
Always loving true to Thee
